Jake White started throwing sober house parties his Junior year of college because he wanted a place to make friends and have fun, but without being pressured to drink or use drugs.

After just one semester of creating Party.0, Jake had hundreds of students attending his sober parties, nationally known sponsors and media coverage across the state.

Before long, students from across the country shared their aches and pains of being sober in college and asked Jake for help. So he began speaking and training other students to host sober parties for their campuses.

9 out of 10 students say “YES” to Party.0 by opting into our texting list and hundreds show up to party sober. Here’s why…

  • Peer to peer model. Many campus events battle an image of being put on by adults or administrators, so students think it’s less cool and won’t come. Our parties are intentionally run and promoted by students.
  • Positive social norms. Instead of reading a poster about how students are making great choices, what if you could meet them at a sober party?
  • Learning through experience. A sober party shows students that they don’t need alcohol to make friends, have fun or fit in.
  • Inclusive outlook. We don’t talk negatively about alcohol. We just offer another option to socialize so drinkers and non-drinkers feel welcome.
  • Social nature. Being sober used to mean giving up your social life. Party.0 provides a safe environment to party.
